Performing an Installation

To Install Mount BDS, follow the steps below.

Performing Basic Installation :

Begin by obtaining the latest full release download of Mount BDS from your client portal.

  1. Upload the .zip file to the server home directory (Usually /home/YOUR_CPANEL_USERNAME/ - One directory behind the public_html folder)
  2. Extract the .zip files to a temporary folder in the same directory.
  3. Click the Settings in the top right corner of the filemanager and check "Show Hidden Files" option.
  4. Copy the new files (CI and public_html) from the temporary folder to the home directory (Usually /home/YOUR_CPANEL_USERNAME/ - One directory behind the public_html folder).
  5. Rename the configuration_new.php inside public_html folder and dbconfig_new.php inside CI/application/config folder to configuration.php and dbconfig.php respectively.
  6. Create a mysql database and link it to a mysql user (Store the database and user values in a safe place). 
  7. Edit the configuration.php file with the licence key and other required parameters.
  8. Edit the dbconfig.php file with database and mysql user values and enter other parameters.
  9. Go to phpmyadmin from your cpanel home and import the database file to your recently created database.
  10. Basic Installation is now complete. Move to Advanced Installation Steps.

Performing Advanced Installation :

1. Setting up CRON JOBS (important) :

Cron jobs are the important factor that perform automated tasks in your website.
Add the following cron jobs using the CRON JOBS option from your cpanel home.

Note : You can add your email address to verify if the crons are working fine.

2. Securing Admin panel password and security Question : 

Your temporary Username : admin
Your temporary Password : qwertyuiop
Your temporary Security Question : question
Your temporary Security Answer : answer

IMPORTANT : Change these values as soon as you complete your basic setup.

3. Adding Clouflare to your domain : 

It is highly recommended that you add cloudflare technology to your website to prevent from DDOS attacks and to improve website performance.
